Action Unlimited

From: Kentucky, USA

Action Unlimited were an American garage rock group from the mid-1960s. They were originally known as the Maroons and were based out of East Kentucky University. The band went to California to work with Dick Clark Productions and changed their name to the rather optimistic Action Unlimited. They soon signed with the Philadelphia based Cameo/Parkway label and recorded two singles.  Of the two singles, only one was ever released, 1966’s”My Heart Cries Out” / “Thinking To Myself.” The single was produced by Curt Boettcher. “My Heart Cries Out” is a nice trippy piece of psychedelic rock, and is featured on Arf Arf’s No, No, No compilation.
