Australian Playboys

This Australian group was originally known as just the Playboys when in the land down under, but then moved to the U.K. and released a sole single (‘Black Sheep R.I.P.’ b/w ‘Sad’). The flip side is an excellent slice of 1967 psychedelia with driving bass, spearing guitar, and unpredictable tempo changes.

Members of the band included Mick Rogers (guitar, vocals), Rod Stone (guitar), Brian Peacock (bass, vocals), Trevor Griffin (keyboards), and Graeme Trottman (drums).

Artist information sources include: The book, ‘Tapestry of Delights Revisited’ by Vernon Joynson.
