The American Four

The American Four was a short-lived band who released the 1964 single “Luci Baines” / “Soul Food” which was released on the Selma label. Members were Arthur Lee (vocals, guitar) and John Echols (guitar). The band eventually evolved into the Grassroots. After that, they would become the one and only Love.
