Bobak, Jons, Malone

The trio only ever released one album, but that album has become somewhat of a hidden gem of British psychedelia. The group consisted of recording engineers Mike Bobak and Andy Johns (spelled Jons on the record), who teamed with Wilson Malone of Orange Bicycle. Malone was responsible for guitar, keyboards, singing and most of the songwriting, while Bobak and Johns did rhythm and recording. The album’s songs range between acid folk and heavy psych riffs sounding like early heavy metal. “On a Meadow-Lea” is one of the songs that shows the contrasting styles very well. ~ Allmusic.com
