The Collection

The Collection were a short-lived band from America that released one single on the rather obscure label The Hot Biscuit Disc Company in 1968. The A-side is an excellent cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.” Their version is very dreamy and trippy, bringing many of the key elements of sunshine pop. The single was arranged by Jimmy “The Wiz” Wisner and produced by Artie Kornfeld. “Tomorrow Is A Window” is on the flip side One of the credited writers is Eddie Simon, brother of Paul Simon. Eddie was also known for his work with the band the Guild Light Gauge, as well as with Crib And Ben.
