Dream Police

dream-policeFrom: Glasgow, Scotland

Glasgow’s Dream Police were known for their blistering, rocking live shows in their home city. The band moved to London to meet producer Junior Campbell, who majorly altered the band’s sound with his arrangement of their 1970 single “I’ll Be Home (In A Day Or So)” / “Living Is Easy.” The A-side is found on a number of psych compilations, but it’s inclusion seems puzzling. “Living Is Easy” is far more fitting, and the song is a much closer representation of how Dream Police sounded live. Band members included Joe Breen (bass, vocals), Hamish Stuart (vocals, guitar), Charlie Smith (drums, vocals, guitar), and Matt Irvine (keyboards, vocals). Dream Police released a total of three singles in 1970.
