The Excelsior Spring

From: Britain

The Excelsior Spring was one of the more obscure band to sign with Immediate Records. In fact, the band only lasted for one single, 1968’s “Happy Miranda”/”It.” This pop-rock trio featured Mike Finesilver, later of Heron. They were booked into the Marquee Club as a supporting act occasionally during 1969, and recorded briefly for Immediate’s experimental offshoot label Instant Records. The single was also released on Instant. Both sides of the single ended up on one of Immediate Record’s compilation albums.
