From: Texas, USA
The Four Speeds were a short-lived Texas band best known for including Don Henley, who would go on to international success with the Eagles and as a solo artist. Members of the band included Henley (drums, lead vocal), Freddie Neese (guitar), Jerry Surratt (keyboards/trumpet) and Richard Bowden (bass). The band cut a pair of singles in 1964, “Variety” and “Why Did You Leave Me.” Both were Texas-style garage rock songs that could have fit in on the Nuggets box set.
