The Glass Bottle

Glass Bottle, TheFrom: America

The Glass Bottle was a band fronted by Gary Criss who wrote the song “I Ain’t Got Time Anymore.” The single reached #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in September 1971. “I Ain’t Got Time Anymore” was a song about bitterness and heartbreak and features some excellent vocals. The Glass Bottle were co-produced by Dickie Goodman, who had an advertising deal with a PR firm trying to save the glass industry from losing soda pop clients who were switching to the much more cost-friendly plastic. Goodman, along with partner Bill Ramal, formed a band, named them the Glass Bottle, and produced an album. “I Ain’t Got Time Anymore” and “The Girl Who Loved Me When” were the only hits the band ever had before they faded into obscurity. Criss would go onto have a solo career where he released a few disco hits. He is currently in the antique automobile business.
