Paper Blitz Tissue

From: Britain

The Paper Blitz Tissue were a short-lived band out of Britain who released on good hard psychedelic pop single in December 1967, “Boy Meets Girl”/”Grey Man on RCA. The A-side is a true psychedelic gem with fluttering and squealing guitars, crunching percussion, an ominous and tuneful melody, and a thunderous production.

It isn’t known why the Paper Blitz Tissue never released more material. It is possible that more music does exist, as the band supplied some tracks for a December 1967 BBC television program called Death of a Private, writing the music with TV theme composer Ron Grainer (Doctor Who, The Prisoner). The member of the Paper Blitz Tissue to make the greatest subsequent impact was drummer Dave DuFort, who was later in East of Eden and played with Kevin Ayers.
