Spider And The Crabs

PosterFrom: Hastings, NE, USA

Spider and the Crabs released an album in 1967 that is now extremely difficult to find. It is estimated that only 25-100 copies of the record ever made! The original band was made up of Bob “Mouse” Meyerhoffer (vocals), Steve “Spider” Einsel (guitar), Warren Gitt (saxophone), Dick Rasmussen (trumpet), Rick Messenger (keyboards), Lindy Gallaher (bass), and Jim McMillin (drums). Randy Heinrick would replace McMillan and Ronn Bumgarner came in as the replacement for Messenger.

The album contains two great tracks in “Steppin Stone” and “Think.” After a year, the band split up, as different members were headed to different colleges and parts of the country.
