Aardvark

Aardvark 2From: United Kingdom

Aardvark was a progressive-rock band out of the United Kingdom in the early 1970’s. What is so astounding about this band is they were a prog band without a guitar player. The band was originally known because Paul Kossof and Simon Kirke played with the foursome before going onto form Free. From then on, Aardvark were primarily a studio act. The band only ever recorded one album, their self-titled 1970 release. Members included Stan Aldous (bass), Frank Clark (drums), Steve Millner (keyboards, recorder, vibraphone), and Dave Skillin (vocals). Songs like “Copper Sunset” and “Many Things To Do” are nice psych-prog crossovers.
