American Zoo

American Zoo, TheFrom: California, USA

This band recorded at least two 45s for the Hollywood-based Reena label in 1967. Their first single was ‘Mr. Brotherhood’, a pop psych track with trippy lyrics and sound effects. Two versions of the song were released, one being driven by organ and the other with guitar taking on the lead role. The B-side features the great ‘Magdalena’, which has more of a garage sound.
