Bow Street Runners

Band PhotoFrom: Fayetteville, NC, USA

Very little is known about this band North Carolina band. Forming in 1969, their lone LP was a 1970 self-titled release recorded for the B.T. Puppy label. Members included Steve Darling (guitar, vocals), David Guy (keyboards, vocals), George Graham (drums, percussion), William Simkiss (bass, guitar, vocals), Frank Hardwick (bass) and Mike Dees (guitar). As a whole, the album is unspectacular, aside from a handful of tracks, most notably the incredible ‘Another Face’, with its haunting keyboard intro before picking up tempo with lots of fuzz guitar. Other notable tracks are ‘Electric Star’ and ‘Watch.’
