Brian Laurence Bennett is an English drummer, pianist, composer, arranger, and record producer out of England. Bennett is best known as the drummer of the UK rock group, The Shadows. He is also the father of fellow Shadows band member Warren Bennett.

Bennett finished school at the age of sixteen to play drums in a Ramsgate skiffle group that performed for holiday makers. He then returned to London where he became the in-house drummer at The 2i’s Coffee Bar in Soho and was a regular performer on Jack Good’s TV show Oh Boy!

Brian Bennett released a solo album of jazz music in 1967, titled Change of Direction. He released a handful of solo albums and singles over the years. He continued to play with The Shadows at the same time. Bennett also composed many popular TV theme tunes including BBC sports themes.
