From: Los Angeles, CA, USA
The Backseat were a very short-lived project out of East, L.A. There is relatively no information available on the band as a result. The band released their sole single on the Linda label in 1967. The A-side is the excellent “Where Is Mary,” a harmony-drenched ballad. The single was produced by Larry Tamblyn of The Standells. The B-side, “Like You Do,” also appears on the 1969 double album compilation East Side Revue.
