The Bees are not to be confused with the San Francisco band of the same name. This band is often considered to be a classic example of teenage musicians on LSD. The fantastic “Voices Green And Purple” from 1966 tells the story of an LSD trip that went wrong. The screams and heavy guitar are pure psychedelic madness. The song is also featured on numerous compilation series, most notably Pebbles, Vol. 3 and the Nuggets 4-CD release.
