The British North-American Act

The British North-American ActFrom: Montreal, QB, Canada

The British North-American Act only ever released one album over their short existence called In The Beginning. This album is now sells for upwards of one thousand dollars a copy, due to its obscurity. The band formed in 1968 with members Andy Bator (keyboards), Bob Allen (lead guitar), Dave McCall (drums), Rick Elger (rhythm guitar), and Kirk Armstrong (bass). The members of the band were from all over the world, including Hungary, England, and Canada. The British North-American Act shows influences of Paul Revere & The Raiders, especially on the excellent “Don’t Run Away,” which features some excellent fuzz guitar. On the whole, In The Beginning is a solid garage-rock album.
