The ClevedonairesFrom: Clevedon, New Zealand

The Clevedonaires were from a small farming town in South Auckland who became a popular attraction around Auckland, playing regularly. Auckland promoter Benny Levin released four of The Clevedonaires’ singles on his Impact label. The band later changed their name to The Cleves and moved to Australia. They cut two more singles and released an album. In the ’70s, the band moved to England, where they were known as Bitch. The original lineup consisted of Gaye Brown (keyboards, bass), Graham Brown (drums), Ron Brown (lead guitar), and Milton Lane (guitar).
