The Chateaux

Chateaux, TheFrom: Vermillion, SD, USA

This band was originally known as the Galaxies and then the Shattoes. In 1967 they changed their name to the Chateaux. The band is best known for featuring Tommy Bolin (guitar) who would go on to become an accredited musician and song writer. Bolin found increased success with the likes of Zephyr and Energy, and eventually replaced Joe Walsh in the James Gang in 1973. Bolin would later replace Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple. Sadly, Bolin passed away of a heart attack in 1976 at a young age. The Chateaux released one single on the Eye label in 1968. “Regeference Man” was a two-part song making up both the A-side and the B-side.
