Dry Ice

Dry IceFrom: Revere, MA, USA

Dry Ice are known for creating a bit of confusion with the release of their “Running To The Convent” / “Nowhere To Go” single. The single was released on Island’s B&C label which was predominantly a ska and bluebeat label. The band started work on an album, but this was never released. During these sessions, Ian McDonald of King Crimson played flute for the band, and Jimmy Page offered his services for free after meeting the members of Dry Ice at a Lyceum all nighter. Members of Dry Ice included Jeff Novak (vocals), Paul Gardner (guitar), Chris Hyrenwicz (guitar), John Gibson (bass), and Terry Sullivan (drums). Gardner would move on and form Pluto with Alan Warner from the Foundations.
