From: Yonkers, NY, USA
The Descendants were a very short-lived band out of Yonkers, New York, made up of high school students. The band recorded one single then disappeared into obscurity.
The A-side of the single was the catchy “Lela.” The song is a great example of garage pop-rock. “Lela” was produced by Ted Varnick. Varnick co-wrote “Lela” with J. Lynch, and also wrote the B-side, “Garden Of Eden.” The single was released on MTA Records in October 1966. CBS picked it up for release in the UK.
