The W.C. Fields Memorial Electric String Band released a pair of singles in 1966 before changing their name to the much shorter ESB. What ESB stand for is still a mystery, and the band only ever released one single under this moniker. In 1967, ESB released “Mushroom People” / “Let Me Touch You” on the Inarts Label. The A-side is a pop/psych number with fuzz guitar vocal harmony and psychedelic sound effects. The flip side is a semi-folk influenced garage number with solid guitar and vocals.
