Mighty Baby

From: London, England

Mighty Baby formed in January 1969 from the ashes of The Action. Their debut self-titled album was a collection of psychedelic rock songs recorded in early 1969. The record was released on the small independent Head label in the UK, and on Chess in the United States.

In 1970, several members of the band became Muslim, and their second album is a reflection of the spiritual journey they embarked on, sounding nothing like their debut album. Mighty Baby were the closing act on the first day of the Isle of Wight Festival 1970.
