The Renegades

Founded in 1960, The Renegades were one of the many second tier British beat bands active in England during the mid-’60s. The band released a number of unsuccessful singles for the Polydor label but then found real success when they moved to Europe. The Renegades managed to have singles in the number one position on both the Finland and German charts as well as headline tours through Scandinavia. The band released two albums on the Danish Hansa label: Cadillac in 1965 and Take a Heart in 1966.

The Renegades were: Kim Brown – vocals and guitar, Denys Gibson – lead guitar, Ian Mallet – bass, Graham Johnson – drums.
