Bill Wendry & The Boss Tweeds

From: Springfield, MA, USA

Bill Wendry & The Boss Tweeds was a short-lived band out of Massachusetts that released three singles in the late 1960s. Their first single was released in 1968. The A-side is a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire,” while the B-side is the excellent “A Wristwatch Band,” which has been featured on a number of psychedelic compilations. All three of The Boss Tweeds’ singles were recorded for Columbia records and were produced by Jimmy “Wiz” Wisner, who also worked with The Buckinghams, Jim And Jean, and Jacobs Creek.
